Pastor Erik Anderson accepted the call to serve New Life Lutheran in 2018 as our Discipleship Pastor.
Erik graduated from Central Christian College of Kansas in 2014 with a degree in Pastoral Ministry. After graduation he pastored two small parishes in Wisconsin, focusing on ministry revitalization and discipleship to those in the margins of society. After his call to New Life, he began studying for an M.A. in Biblical Theology at the Institute of Lutheran Theology. He is currently writing his thesis on the law codes and regulations of Exodus 21.
Erik is passionate about helping the people of God read and understand the Scriptures and see the transformation in the lives of others. He loves to see people come alive as they see God at work in every area of their lives.
If you are looking for Erik outside of the New Life campus, you will find him hiking, fishing, golfing, coaching his kids’ sports teams, spending time with his family, or at the gym. Erik married his lovely bride, Sara, in 2014 and has three kids: Augusten, Ambrose, and Annie. Their family enjoys hosting friends and neighbors, being active, exploring nature, and learning together.
