Making Room for Jesus in a Busy Season

Make Room for the One Who Came for You

You know… one of my favorite moments in Luke’s telling of the Christmas story is the part we sometimes rush right past.

Jesus is born, heaven touches earth, and who gets the announcement?

Not kings.
Not influencers.
Not the religious elite.

Shepherds.

Just ordinary folks doing their ordinary work on an ordinary night… and suddenly they’re pulled into the greatest story ever told. Why? Because they were willing to stop what they were doing and go see what God had done.

That’s the heartbeat of Christmas.

December gets loud. Calendars get full. Kids get amped up on hot cocoa and sugar cookies. But in the middle of all the chaos... right there in the real, messy, beautiful parts of life... we get to pause and make room for Jesus.

And here’s the good news:
Making room doesn’t mean canceling everything.
It doesn’t mean pulling off a picture-perfect Hallmark season.

It simply means welcoming His presence into whatever your life actually looks like right now.

Read Luke 2 again and let the wonder sink in.
Whisper a simple prayer of gratitude while you’re driving or wrapping presents.
Notice those quiet little reminders that God is near... because He is.

Christmas proclaims a truth we desperately need:
Jesus has come. Jesus is with us. And Jesus will come again.

That’s the kind of hope worth slowing down for.
That’s the kind of good news worth making room for.

Love you all.
See you Sunday.
