Day 8: CONNECT WITH GOD RELATIONALLY

“OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN...”

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:15-17 NIV

God loves for us to come to Him in this way—as His children who love Him and want to spend time with Him. Proclaim your personal relationship with God, addressing Him as your loving Father and thanking Him that you are His child.

End your time with the 3 most important questions for every Jesus follower:

1. What is God saying to me from this prayer time? What is standing out?
2. What is God inviting me to do in response? How can I take a small step in following Jesus in this way this week?
3. Who is God putting on my heart to share this with? How can I reach out to them today?

 

Closing Prayer

Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to You, in every way. Jesus, help me to give myself away to others, being kind to everyone I meet. Spirit, help me to love the lost, proclaiming Christ in all I do and say. Amen.
