2 – His Peace Guards You | 21 Days of Prayer 2025

Do not be anxious about anything… the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6–7

“Daddy, watch this.” That’s a phrase I hear a lot these days. Raising little kids involves a lot of keeping a watchful eye over them as they play, color, clean their room, or help with the baby.

I had an interaction recently with my 6-year old as she stepped into some responsibility and ventured out in a public place while I kept a watchful eye on her, and then she came back. When she got to her destination, she turned back to look for me. We made eye contact, I smiled and flashed the “I love you” sign, and she smiled back.

She felt reassured knowing that I was watching over her. Seeing my face looking at her gave her peace.

Paul reminds us in his letter to the Philippians that we don’t have to be anxious because we have a Father who is always watching over us and guarding us in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

And when we realize that God is watching over us, we can feel peace instead of anxiety.

So, the next time you feel anxiety, that’s simply a signal that you need to turn to God and remember that he’s guarding over your heart.

Do This: Stop what you’re doing. For the next 5 minutes, talk to God about everything on your mind and ask Him to fill you with His peace.

Closing Prayer: Jesus, thank You for guarding my heart and mind with Your peace.
