I wanted to share some seriously exciting news about our recent 21-day Bible reading challenge.
Over 130 of you completed the challenge. And that's not even counting those who grabbed a physical copy of the reading plan. We've got some Bible-loving warriors among us!
Now, let's do a little math. If most of you spent about 3-5 minutes a day diving into the Word during the challenge, our church collectively read the Bible for a whopping 12,000 minutes!
That's 200 hours of reading Jesus stories! That's over one week of hope and grace! Incredible, right?
And the responses I got back from people were SUPER encouraging. Here's what some people had to say:
"I love that this was in small bite-sized chunks for me to digest and share with people in my life." - JS
"[Through this plan, God] is leading me to know that there is no reason to panic over things that are tough. He has a plan and prayer will lead me." - IW
"The 21-day challenge provided a daily schedule for me to read and reflect on scripture and God's teachings. It put things in perspective with my focus on God first in my life." - DS
These testimonials remind us why we're doing this. Our vision at New Life is to be a training hub where regular folks like you and me can grow in our walk with Jesus, no matter where we're at.
Whether it's impacting kids and teens through our growing ministry, or whether it's helping people join a life group to connect better with others in our church family, we want to help each and every person become an apprentice to Jesus in every aspect of their life.
But you might be asking, "What's next? How can I keep this momentum going or get more involved in our church family?"
I'm glad you asked! Send me an email and I'll connect you with Pastor Erik so that you can find a new Bible reading plan or a life group to join so that you develop some deeper relationships that are built around becoming apprentices of Jesus.
Grateful to Jesus for you,
Drew
P.S. Summer is a great time to start a new rhythm in your life, whether that is re-committing to a Bible reading habit, or investing in relationships by joining a life group. So, seriously, send me an email if God is prompting you to take one of those next steps!
