4 – He Is With You | 21 Days of Prayer 2025

Fear not, for I am with you… I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

When my eldest daughter, Emersyn, was a baby, she was beginning to learn how to turn over from her back to her belly.

I would lay her down on a playmat that was jungle themed, and she would bat her arms and legs at the mobile above her with butterflies and monkeys. She would look at me and chirp with baby noises, and happily play…trying to grab the jungle animals.
And then she turned over to her tummy for the first time.

Her familiar world of the ceiling and the butterflies and the monkeys was replaced with…the floor. She was face down on the mat and couldn’t see anything she was used to. She couldn’t see me, either.

And she started to cry. So I spoke up, “Emmy, it’s okay. I’m here.”

Immediately, she paused her crying and turned her ear to hear where my voice was coming from. She had thought she was alone because she couldn’t see me, but my voice told her not to be afraid, and my hands came to pick her up shortly after.

The prophet Isaiah received the message from God during a time of distress and anguish, because God’s people, Israel, had been kidnapped away into exile by the Babylonian empire.

Everything had changed. And they felt alone.

But God reassured them, “Fear not, for I am with you.”

This truth is the same for you today. You are never alone in your stress or worry. God is holding you even when you feel weak.

Do This: Whisper this promise aloud 3 times (Fear not, for I am with you), then pray for 2 minutes thanking God for being with you right now.

Closing Prayer: Lord, thank You for holding me and never letting me go.
