LuAnne Spencer has been a staple at New Life from almost the beginning. After serving at a number of churches throughout her life, Luanne joined our team in June of 2010 to take on the role that she still holds today.

LuAnne is a seasoned musician having served in many congregations in all forms of music leadership.  She was steeped in music ministry from an early age while serving as a pipe organist at the age of 16 for her home church. Following that introduction into music ministry, she has continued to refine her skills by ministering in a variety of capacities such as: choir director, accompanist, event coordinator, and a number of other church related servant leadership roles.

Her music education began at the age of 4 with the study of organ and expanded to multiple instruments and voice. It was this love of music and of Christ that seemed to blend beautifully together in her pursuit of education within the realms of liturgical music and theology. She still enjoys adding to this knowledge base through any educational opportunities available to gain insight and perspective from music professionals  around the world.

Beyond her ministry at church, she has had the privilege of forming a string ensemble with her children, and they have used these gifts to share their music in a variety of venues. LuAnne has also taught music in our community and has been active in our local school music programs for many years.  This allows her to perfectly blend her skills and passions to help children and teens learn and love music like she does.

Married to her wonderful husband Russ for over 40 years, they are parents to 5 married children, as well as a foster son. Along with their children, they cherish each moment with their 14 beautiful grandchildren and love going to their musical and sporting events.

Beyond church, LuAnne enjoys traveling, entertaining, and attending plays and concerts.
